Kamala Harris has raised an impressive $540 million in just over a month since launching her presidential campaign, according to her campaign manager, Jen O’Malley Dillon.
The campaign reported that $82 million of this total was raised during the Democratic National Convention, reflecting strong Democratic enthusiasm for Harris.
O’Malley Dillon noted that this fundraising achievement is unprecedented for any presidential campaign in such a short time.
Vice President Harris announced her candidacy for the presidency on July 21, next President Joe Biden’s decision to step aside amid concerns about his cognitive abilities.
The Harris campaign has since gained significant momentum, putting former President Donald Trump on the defensive.
This week, Harris, along with her vice-presidential running mate Tim Walz, will be touring Georgia as part of their campaign efforts, focusing on building support in the critical state ahead of the November 5 election.
